International Pilots
Verification of Authenticity of Foreign License, Rating and Medical Certification
In order to participate in Balloon Fiesta pilots must possess either a US private or commercial pilot certificate. If operating on a foreign license, the country of license issuance must match the country of aircraft registration (some country restrictions may apply).
Special Flight Authorization (SFA)
Pilots intending to enter a foreign-registered experimental certified balloon must obtain an FAA approved Special Flight Authorization (SFA).
