Doug brings 15 years of upper level management to the board, with specialized skills in human resources, finance, sales, and customer service. He is a co-founder and co-owner of H.R. Consultants, one of New Mexico’s largest human resources consulting firms. He is also currently a sales manager at La Mesa RV in Albuquerque.
What makes the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta unique to you?
What makes the Balloon Fiesta unique to me is that, having been a part of the event in one capacity or another since 1983, I consider it to be the "Crown Jewel" for the city of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico! There is nothing else like it!
What is your favorite memory from a past Balloon Fiesta?
One of my most favorite memories is enjoying an absolutely stunning New Mexico evening at a Balloon Glow, with my parents, my in-laws, and the rest of our family together! What a beautiful evening in the Land of Enchantment that we were all able to share together!
As a new board member, what are some things that you hope to accomplish this year?
As a new board member, what I have learned early on is that there are so many moving parts to this board, and it is truly a sharp learning curve as to all of the operations involved. I plan on serving on three committees this year to gain further knowledge on how I can better serve the board, and the Balloon Fiesta!
