Dear Chase Crew Volunteer: As a crewmember, you are an essential and integral part of the Balloon Fiesta. Your participation is greatly appreciated and we ask that you read the following information carefully. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A PILOT THAT YOU CREW FOR, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER WITH BALLOON FIESTA. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR PILOT TO RECEIVE YOUR GATE PASS. Please register by August 15, 2009 to receive your gate pass and arrangement letter by mail. If you do not receive a packet in the mail you will need to pick it up at Balloon Fiesta Park during registration on Thursday or Friday, (October 1st and 2nd) before Balloon Fiesta starts. Your gate pass will allow one person into Balloon Fiesta Park free all week. Without this Crew Gate Pass, a gate admission fee of $6 is required every time you enter Balloon Fiesta Park October 3rd through 11th. Children 12 and under are free and do not require a gate pass at any time. Please do not register any children under the age of 12. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST HAVE YOUR NAME AND COMPLETE ADDRESS IN ORDER TO BE PROCESSED. Chase Crew Orientation will be held at Balloon Fiesta Park (follow the signs) Thursday, October 1st from 9am to 4pm and Friday, October 2nd from 9am to 7pm. A Chase Crew Orientation video will be shown every 30 minutes during this time. This video is not mandatory. The 2009 Chase Crew handbook will be distributed at the Chase Crew Orientation on a first come first serve basis. We strongly recommend that you carpool and utilize the parking available, as space is limited during Balloon Fiesta. The Balloon Fiesta Park is located between Alameda on the south, Tramway on the North, San Mateo on the East and the AMAFCA Channel on the West. Your pilot is the only one that can supply you with a Parking Pass. Otherwise you will have to pay $10 every time you park. If you have any questions or changes, please call (505) 821-1000 or 1-888-422-7277 Ext. 109, and speak with Melissa Winters. If you find your pilot no longer requires your services, please feel free to re-register at the Chase Crew Headquarters daily between 5:30am to 9:00am and 4pm to 6:30pm during the afternoon events.
