Selected from over 40,000 Travelocity Member Entries, Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta made the Travel Service’s Official List of“Local Secrets, Big Finds”

Albuquerque, NM – Straight from the locals’ mouths, Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has been recognized as a top hot spot in the state by residents of New Mexico. Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta was chosen among more than 40,000 member entries as one of only 10 places in New Mexico to be named one of Travelocity’s “Local Secrets, Big Finds.”

Ranging from beaches and lakes to restaurants and bars, Travelocity’s comprehensive collection of local hot spots was compiled after querying customers from Travelocity’s 40-million member database. Culled from thousands of responses, the Local Secrets, Big Finds list reveals those hidden gems across the country where the locals like to go, many of them spots that ordinary tourists likely do not know about or could easily overlook.

“ Travelocity” customers are absolutely right! The 2003 Great Motion Picture Show guarantees visitors to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta from October 4 – 12 will have their hearts lifted and their imaginations captivated,” said AIBF Executive Director Paul Smith.

This world famous event promises to delight kids of all ages. For nine days in early October, the skies will fill with hundreds of hot air and gas balloons flying over Albuquerque. Visitors will experience mass ascensions, balloon glows, the Special Shapes Rodeo, and the 8th America’s Challenge Gas Balloon Race.
